Hi! I’m Gabriella (or Gaby). I’m a social worker and psychotherapist who cares for children, adolescents and young adults suffering from a variety of difficulties with their mental health.

I’ve been in practice since 2004, serving a wide variety of populations in Hawai'i and the SF Bay Area, especially the most severely mentally ill. I helped run an ACT team in Honolulu for 4 years. I was the Assistant Director of Mental Health at the West Oakland Health Center for 4 years after that. I served as Recovery Services Director at UCSF’s Path Program/Early Psychosis Clinic for 5 years, then I was a part of the UCSF Wavefront Program for another 6 years, providing individual and group therapy to young people suffering from a variety of mental disorders, including depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Prior to my work as a social worker, I volunteered with the Peace Corps in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania from 1999-2001.

After 11 years at UCSF, I have decided to venture on my own. Working in my own practice allows my patients and me to collaboratively build a care model that suits their needs, whatever they may be. I see people in person, either in the office or in the wild, and virtually, as need be. My work is relational, supportive, and collaborative first and foremost.

I have chosen in my private work to focus on OCD and social anxiety.

I am immensely privileged to make this my life’s work as I have seen countless and wondrous individual and familial transformations.

I hope that we are able to connect and catalyze the change you want to see.
